Geovation Scotland is a collaboration between Ordnance Survey (OS) and Registers of Scotland (RoS) to help unlock greater value from our national geospatial, land & property data assets by supporting entrepreneurs, innovators and developers bring new location data and property services to market.
The Geovation Scotland community is an environment aimed at fostering innovation and creativity; it supports the Scottish tech entrepreneurs working with property or location data by facilitating access to a range of partners in the public and private sector, to like-minded entrepreneurs and to multiple data sets, including OS and RoS. It is accessible to the wider geospatial and entrepreneurial communities and provides a location to foster innovation and collaboration across traditional boundaries.
The Geovation Scotland programme is a funded accelerator. It offers up to 12 months of incubation for early-stage tech start-ups that have identified property or location data as fundamental to their commercial offering. This includes a bespoke programme of workshops and coaching, up to £15k of equity free funding, and residency – either virtually on in person at Meadowbank House – for up to 12 months.
