They can offer a range of consultancy services, research partnerships, information, entrepreneurship, spin-outs and business services, as well as conferences and events services.

    Universities actively supports entrepreneurs and academic staff in the creation of new ventures to lead the exploitation of research generated opportunities. This support ranges from licensing IP to start-ups to directly supporting the planning/formation of a spin-out venture. The support available for different areas in Research and Development is university dependent.
